Terms of Service

These terms explain the agreement between you and InkWav (“InkWav”, “we”), run by Chandan Lalge in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, when you use InkWav. By creating an account or using InkWav, you agree to them.

1. Your account

You need to give accurate details and keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account. InkWav is for people aged 18 and over, or younger writers using it with a parent's or guardian's consent.

2. Your writing is yours

You keep full ownership and copyright of everything you write on InkWav. We never claim rights to your work. You give us only the permission we need to store, back up and display your content to you and to the people you choose to share it with. When you publish something publicly (a post, a profile, a Book Shelf listing or a free sample), you allow us to show it on InkWav and in previews when people share links to it. You can remove it at any time.

3. Using InkWav fairly

Please follow our Community Guidelines. Don't upload work you don't have the right to share, don't try to break or overload the service, and don't use InkWav to harm others. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, and we'll tell you why when we can.

4. Plans and payments

Writing on InkWav is free. Paid plans, extras and services are listed on our Pricing page with their prices in your currency. Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel; you can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Lifetime means for as long as InkWav operates. Payments are processed securely by our payment partner; we never see or store your full card details. Indian prices include GST, and we send a tax invoice for every payment.

6. Publishing and proofreading services

Services from the InkWav team, partner publishers and independent proofreaders are described in each proposal or offer. Proofreaders are independent and are not employees of InkWav. When you pay a proofreader through InkWav, we hold the payment in escrow and release it when you approve the work (or 7 days after it's marked done if you don't respond). InkWav keeps a service fee from the proofreader's payout.

7. Availability

We work hard to keep InkWav running and your writing safe, and we keep backups. Still, the service is provided “as is”, and we recommend downloading copies of important manuscripts from time to time.

8. Limits of our liability

To the extent the law allows, InkWav isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from Account & billing › Your data. We can close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

10. Changes and law

If we change these terms in an important way, we'll tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction.
